The Kuzari: The Philosopher- Part 1 All of philosophy is the attempt to understand the relationship among G-d, man, and the world, all in connection to the relationship among creation, revelation, and redemption. According to the philosopher with whom the Kuzari speaks, G-d does not care about the world and has no connection to humanity. Furthermore, He did not intend to create us; rather, we just naturally are part of the universe. The philosopher gives the Kuzari this answer because it makes man feel in control. A problem arises with this- what then is our purpose in the world? We as Jews must ask ourselves, how can the perfect G-d have a connection to us?
